After much debate among friends and family about the baby's gender, it's official - we're having a baby boy!We had our ultrasound appointment yesterday morning, and saw a healthy looking baby. The doctor pointed out a heart, brain, spine, arms and legs, face, and a verrrry distinct male organ. The little guy even wiggled around and spread his legs as if to make it extremely obvious. The doctor said everything looks as healthy as can be.
It was the best moment of the pregnancy so far. Suddenly, our anonymous baby went from an "it" to a "him" - an actual person!

Yes, I would agree with you that the ultrasound was much anticipated and worth the hype. For me, knowing the gender ahead of time helped me get to know Kaitlyn better, think of her as a person and not just a blob inside me, and not to mention, pick out colors for her room!

Yay! That's awesome!! Jess' comment above made me think about what happened at our own u/s for Claire. We came home and told my hubby's parents that he was VERY disappointed...because we were having a human and not a lizard. They thought that was hilarious. I guess you had to be there... :)
