About Me
My name is Larissa. I'm 28, Chinese, a text-book oldest child, obsessively clean, and an ENFJ.
I was born and raised on Maui, Hawaii. Yes, it is as beautiful and charming as you imagine, and you should definitely visit. I now live in Los Angeles, which I have grown to genuinely love. I'm married to Steve, and we recently welcomed our son Aaron into the world. We live in a 100-year old house that we affectionately refer to as The Blue House. Steve and I both work as pastors for college students on a university campus.
On a whim, I began The Larissa Monologues in March of 2007, and discovered the joys of blogging. It is my place to share my life and reflections, and to cultivate my personal creativity. I write about family, crafts, relationships, food, sewing, health and the occasional deep thought.
I am passionate about cooking, as evidenced by my many recipes that I share here. The food I make tends to be simple and delicious. I try to make healthy food, but we have to have dessert once in a while, don't you think? The recipes I share are my own, unless otherwise noted.
I am also fond of thrift stores, painting, healthy living, my iPhone, playing guitar, red wine, crafts, gardenias, Texas Hold 'Em, reading, Lost, coffee and exploring new places. I laugh a little too loudly, daydream too much, and own way too many purses for my own good.
